Description of the Service

Depending on the temperature chosen and the elements to be diffused, the diffusion phenomenon can be accelerated or slowed down. The chemical nickel diffusion gives the treated parts a high resistance to corrosion and a perfect resistance to wear under extreme working conditions. Example of use: industrial mechanical applications, submarines, heat exchangers ... The choice of the heat treatment cycle will be influenced by the nature of the substrate previously coated with nickel and the properties ultimately sought. The substrate can be "mono-material" (copper or ferrous alloy, ...) or "bi-material" (parts showing welding or brazing) type pure iron and stainless steel. Depending on the temperature chosen and the elements to be diffused, the nickel diffusion phenomenon can be accelerated or slowed down. For example, performing a nickel diffusion treatment on a pure iron substrate will create an intermediate layer of Ni-Fe and decrease in the thickness of the initial layer of Ni.
